Pre-season Varese basketball: off to a bang start
Varese Basketball: here is the pre-season
On Monday, Aug. 12, Varese Basketball’s 2024-2025 season will officially start. In fact, Coach Mandole and the 'his' boys, in full gear, will meet at the Via Pirandello Campus for the first practice of the year. The sessions will remain will continue until Friday, Aug. 23, when the red-and-whites will conduct an internal scrimmage that will be open to all fans who want to see Mannion and teammates at work for the first time.
Training will continue in the Garden City until Saturday, Aug. 31, when the red-and-whites will take another test (this time behind closed doors) in Milan against Olimpia, a match that anticipates Openjobmetis’ departure for Livigno, where they will test themselves against Trento on Thursday, Sept. 5. Then, on Sunday 8 at 6 p.m., the red-and-whites will face Vanoli Basket Cremona in Sondrio, while on Wednesday, September 13, it will be Fidenza that will host Varese, which will play a friendly against Pistoia.
Openjobmetis will therefore return to Varese, where è scheduled a joint training with Cividale on Saturday, Sept. 14, until Monday, Sept. 16, when Varese will moveà for the fifth consecutive year to Gressoney, the beautiful tourist resort in Valle d’Aosta that will beà home of the biancorossi’s retreat until Friday, Sept. 20.
On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22, Openjobmetis will be engaged in the Lake Basket Cup that will be played at Palataurus in Lecco and will involve Tortona, Reggio Emilia and Treviso; the biancorossi will face UNAHOTELS on Saturday at 8 p.m.
During this period, coach Mandole will be ableà to count on all the members of the roster; they will be joined by some of the youngsters from the youth sector, in addition to Edoardo Del Cadia who will beà aggregated to the red and white team until Saturday, August 31.
Pallacanestro Varese announces that due to the renovation works of the arena, it has not been possible to schedule friendly matches at the Itelyum Arena, which will be ready, however, for the second day of the LBA championship, when the red-and-whites will host Derthona.
