Toprak Razgatlioglu can’t race, world championship reopened

Toprak Razgatlioglu ;(ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) will not take part in Saturday and Sunday of the France Motul Round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship due to the crash that occurred in turn 14 during FP2 on Friday afternoon.
Taken to the medical center, he è was found to have a contusion in his back; then è was transported to the hospital for further investigations which revealed a flap of traumatic pneumothorax. Razgatlioglu had lapped in FP1 this morning in 1’36.347 and had been the best while this afternoon he was making the fastest lap before crashing at the’last sector.
A note from BMW reports the following: “ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK rider Toprak Razgatlioglu will miss the remainder of Round 8 of the 2024 FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) at Magny-Cours (FRA). Due to the heavy crash that occurred in FP2 and following subsequent medical checks at Moulins Hospital, è he was declared unfit by the WorldSBK medical staff for the rest of the weekend”.
