In Pool B, European champions Poland have been drawn with the Netherlands, Qatar and Romania. Pool C, featuring Olympic champions France, will feature Argentina, Finland and South Korea. In Pool D, in addition to the United States (third in the world rankings), there will be Cuba, Portugal and Colombia. Pool E, on the other hand, features Slovenia, Germany, Bulgaria and Chile. Pool G will face Japan, Canada, Turkey and Libya.  Finally, Group F will be composed of Brazil, Serbia, the Czech Republic and China.

The rainbow event for the first time will see 32 teams competing, up from 24 in previous editions.
