The Dutchman doesn&#39t want to play only defense

Second place at the Singapore GP è was an outstanding result. Verstappen masterfully limited the damage in the challenge, for the World Championship, with Norris. The Briton won his third race of the season but è he is still -52 points behind the Dutchman, i.e., the leader of the World Drivers’ Championship. In short, Verstappen è still master of his own destiny.

Despite the good placement, Verstappen è not happy. Impossible to be. He has not won for eight GPs in a row, a (negative) record for him, dominant in the first phase of the season. The three-time World Champion è made himself heard in the post-race: "I’ll give it my all in every race but, to win, you need a car that will let me", his clear words.

A message, quite direct, to Red Bull, which is called to "react" to McLaren’s superiority" on track. When there are six GPs left to the end of the season, Verstappen needs the support of his own stable to take home the fourth title of his career.

Norris, for his part, knows that, after Singapore, he will haveà even more need for fellow Piastri. To get significantly closer to Verstappen, he needs Piastri to be his ally. The feeling è that McLaren, through team principal Stella, will put pressure on the Australian to help Norris. The constructors è world championship is firmly in the hands of McLaren but the drivers world championship must be won by supporting Norris as much as possible.
