Milan challenges Conegliano, presented the Supercup

This morning, Friday, September 27 at 11.30, in Sala Laudato Si’ of the Campidoglio in Rome, the Supercoppa Fineco, the event organized by Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile in collaboration with Master Group Sport which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. live on Rai 2 and VBTV from Palazzo dello Sport in Rome.
Doing the honors will be the’Councillor for Major Events, Tourism and Fashion Alessandro Onorato, accompanied by President of the Women’s Volleyball League Serie A Mauro Fabris, the’CEO of Master Group Sport Giovanni Carnevali, the vice president of FIPAV Luciano Cecchi and the deputy general manager of Fineco Paolo Di Grazia. With them, the protagonists of the first trophy up for grabs of the new 2024-25 season, the Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano and the Numia Vero Volley Milano.
Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Sport, Tourism, Fashion and Major Events, did the honors asa: "Rome will host the two strongest Italian teams at the international level, Milan against Conegliano, with many Olympic champions from Paris on the court. We are happy that Rome is confirmed as the capital of big events. The palazzetto will be sold out and it will be a good advertisement for the Italian volleyball movement and our territory, where membership has grown by 3 thousand units compared to 2023. Likely, many little girls and boys, seeing these champions playing live tomorrow, will fall in love with the sport and maybe want to try it. This è the’importance of such big events that also create valuable economic and tourist”.
Mauro Fabris, President of the Women’s Volleyball League Serie A,& added: “Rome è the Capital, represents for us a unique showcase. From the 2022 Coppa Italia with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, to the meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to end with the inauguration of the Palazzetto dello Sport in Viale Tiziano: when we are in Rome we know that attention è at the highest level. If today Roma Volleyball è returned to A1 è it was also on the push of this consensus and support always received from the City Council and the whole city; and we are happy that thanks to the Giallorossi again this year we will have six Società in the European cups. We are at the’beginning of the 80th season of the Women’s Serie A, which comes after a 2024 full of triumphs, from our clubs’ European hat-trick to the gold medal in Paris. The best is coming now thanks to the work of everyone, we have built a system that is working and giving the best of itself. Now the difficultyà è knowing how to manage, reap the benefits of this success, keep the level high. We represent a strong movement, with structured societies: the best champions come to Italy because of the’extreme professionalism; and the quality of life we offer as a country. Now we are proud to have brought this Super Cup to a palazzetto that will be packed with spectators. It will be an opportunity to present to everyone the beautiful new trophy, the result of a restyling project that will also involve our other events in the coming months”.
