Carmelo Ezpeleta brusque on Valentino Rossi

Dorna CEO and MotoGP chief Carmelo Ezpeleta in an interview with As commented briefly on Valentino Rossi’s words about Marc Marquez and the events of 2025: "I think it’s better to leave it alone. It’ s been a while, è happened many years ago and it’ seemed to me positive that Marc did not comment on his statements".

"Obviously I am not the one to tell Valentino Rossi what he should do or not do, but I don’t think there is much use in saying these things now. I haven’t talked to Valentino about it, I have tremendous respect for him and great gratitude for what he has done for our sport. I think it is not necessary for him to say it, but if he believes it, let him say it".

Ezpeleta also addressed the internationalization of MotoGp after the acquisition by Liberty Media: "In the future there will be fewer Spanish riders. You cannot want a world championship and continue to include Spaniards and Italians. How many Spaniards are here that should not be here if we think about it? ".

"What we have to do è give opportunities to people who haven’t had them. And we cannot continue to have four GPs in Spain. They will definitely stay there until 2026, then we will see.

".
