The touching words of Malagò

The sports world è in mourning for the passing of Franco Chimenti. The president of the Italian Golf Federation, who was confirmed for a seventh term last Sept. 25 by the assembly meeting in Rome with 71.29 percent of the vote, passed away at the age of 85.

"È a very deep sorrow, I lose not only a true friend, but a big brother, a special person who never let me lack his support and his legendary, affectionate complicity" stressed Coni president Giovanni Malagò  

"We shared and faced together, from the first moment, many challenges in the name of a common passion for sports, with the’objective of fostering the growth and development of our world,” he added. “A world that from today becomes orphaned of an executive of undeniable depth, of a man of great culture, unanimously appreciated and well-liked by all". 

"We have a duty to enhance his example and renew the’commitment and enthusiasm with which he faced life and honored the sport to the’last. Hello, Franco. And thank you for everything" concluded moved Malagò.
