Dream dashed for Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, defeated in the 11th race of the Louis Vuitton Cup finals and thus eliminated from the race for the America's Cup.
Max Sirena's team was defeated 7-4 by Ineos Britannia, which thus won the pass for the challenge against Emirates Team New Zealand, starting next Oct. 12.
Francesco Bruni, helmsman of Luna Rossa along with James Spithill, did not hide his disappointment: “This è a very difficult moment for me and for all the guys, we did a great teamwork. I am proud of what we did, we did a fantastic job“.
“Guys thank you so much for the support, you made us dream. Unfortunately è it went wrong, but Luna Rossa will surely come back stronger“, he finally promised regarding the future.
