Saturday Serie A opened with Udinese's success over Lecce, in the match of the weekly championship day played at the Bluenergy Stadium. The decider was a goal scored on the half-hour of the second half by Jordan Zemura, whose free kick left Falcone no chance. The Friulians thus return to winning ways in the league after two consecutive knockouts (interspersed with the success over Salernitana in the Italian Cup), while for the Salentini the crisis officially opens.

The first half, except for a conclusion of Kabasele on the development of a corner at 4' (Falcone è careful) è characterized by a long phase of study, with few really dangerous actions. At 34' Udinese comes close to taking the lead: Kabasele hits the crossbar, the ball reaches Zemura who with the goal in front of him; incredibly sends it out. At 40' another wood for the Friulians, with the ball kicked from the limit by Zarraga that passes Falcone but hits the post. At halftime it goes to 0-0.

In the second half, Lecce seemed more proactive, although the only action of any danger, a Dorgu shot high from a good position at 53', was actually spoiled by an initial offside by Rebic. Udinese, which seemed to have retreated its center of gravity, found the net in the 75th minute with a stroke of class: è beautiful, in fact, the free kick taken with the left by Zemura, who thus scores his first goal of the season.

The response of Lecce è ineffective while the team of Kosta Runjaic arrives at the triple whistle preserving the smallest possible advantage, useful for the three extra points. In fact, the Friulians climb to 13 and are -3 from Napoli first in the standings, while Lecce remains in the shallows with 5 points in seven games and a dangerously low pace in terms of points put on the tally.
