Fabio Quartararo demolishes Yamaha: “This is too much”
The anger toward the team is growing more and more.
Fabio Quartararo experienced another passionate Sunday in Motegi, where he finished the Japanese Grand Prix as the second rider on a Japanese bike. In fact, his Yamaha è was overtaken in extremis by Johann Zarco’s Honda, finishing 12th at the finish line. But, above all, without gasoline in the tank.
An inconvenience that had already occurred in Misano and was è repeated in Motegi, triggering Quartararo’s anger at Yamaha at the end of the day. "We again looked a little bit stupid. Finishing two out of three races with an empty tank è a bit too much", complained the Frenchman to the microphones of 'The Race'.
In general, Yamaha has struggled not a little on the "home" circuit, even against Honda compatriots who are also experiencing a long period of crisis. The other bearers of the house of Iwata finished the Japanese Grand Prix in sixteenth place (Alex Rins) and seventeenth (Remy Gardner).
Quartararo currently sits in an anonymous thirteenth place in the overall MotoGP standings, however first among Yamaha or Honda riders. For him, the points are 86, with Rins stopped even at 21. All this while Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia, with their Ducatis, are flying at 392 and 382.
