A success that involves a major leap in the rankings.

Torino resumed its run after three consecutive knockouts that had slowed its prodigious initial surge in the early rounds of Serie A. Paolo Vanoli’s team now returns to winning three points and does so in a challenge that was anything but easy against Como, beaten 1-0 after coming close to scoring several times. And for the granata the standings return to authorize dreams of glory.

That the evening may turn out to be complex for Torino can be understood from the very first minutes, in which to make themselves dangerous è Como with Nico Paz and especially with Fadera (excellent response of Milinkovic-Savic). The granata tried with Ricci, whose aim è però imperfect. The guests also lost Sergi Roberto to injury and breathed a sigh of relief when a clear offside denied Che Adams the lead.

Torino tried to set up the resumption with more courage, immediately frightening the Como rearguard with an initiative by Ricci. Then Goldaniga saves on Sanabria and Audero walls the door on Lazaro. There'è però work for Milinkovic-Savic as well, denying a goal from long distance to Strefezza and then flying over a new attempt by Nico Paz. The goal eventually came, and he scored it on 75' the 19-year-old Njie, punctual to take advantage of a lightness by Braunoder: for him è his first professional goal. When time expired, then, again Milinkovic-Savic saves the result on Mazzitelli.

The return to victory allows Torino to temporarily join Milan in fifth place in the standings, with the Champions League zone just two lengths away. Como, on the other hand, slows down, but still remains three points away from the relegation zone at the moment. Although regrets in the Como household are certainly not lacking.
