Alvaro Morata is with Rafael Leao

Alvaro Morata gave a lengthy interview to 'The Athletic' in which he talked about the European ambitions of AC Milan, committed Tuesday night in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, and the situation related to Rafel Leao.

"We have to believe. We are Milan and we have to aim to win everything,” the Spaniard began.

If you lose against a top team è becauseé è the Champions League, but we are obliged to think we can make it. If you don’t get there, you don’t get there, but we have to think it’s possible. In soccer you never know. Last year Borussia Dortmund was not doing well in the league or in general. They reached the Champions League final and if they had not hit the post at 0-0 maybe they would be European champions now. That è is the beauty of the Champions League. Every year there are teams that nobody expects, or already from there ".

"È it is normal to have pressure playing at the San Siro, playing in the Champions League and every time you wear a jersey like this – added the Rossoneri striker -. Every match brings with ité responsibilityà. È more of a privilege. Many players would give anything to play for these teams, and I have been lucky enough to play for many of them at the highest level".

So he talked about Leao: "Rafa has talent. È the best player on the team and he just has to keep doing what he is doing. È just a phase and, often, è so; for attacking players. A big goal or an easy one will be enough to get their confidence back. It è not easy. Everything Rafa does è a story, but è so important for us and è we need him. He knows it perfectly well. He is working hard and è just a phase. His time will come this season and he will make us win".

"For me, Milan has always played an important role in the history of soccer. Before I came to Milan, everyone told me that the air you breathe here è different. Just come and eat at the restaurant here in Milanello. You look around and see all the players who have won things for Milan" concluded Morata.
