Women’s volleyball: Vero Volleyball avalanche with Calcit Kamnik, all easy for Conegliano as well
CEV Champions League women: clear successes for Vero Volley Milan and Conegliano
After the success in the championship with Busto Arsizio, Vero Volley Milano repeated in the Champions League as well. In the second day of Pool C, in fact, the meneghine imposed themselves with a peremptory 3-0 (25-8; 25-14; 25-17) over Calcit Kamnik.
Noteworthy in the ranks of the girls coached by coach Stefano Lavarini were the great performances of Hena Kurtagic, Nika Daalderop and Anna Danesi, authors of 34 total points. Also positive was the return to the court of Paola Egonu, who closed with 13 points and eight walls.
It was also all easy for Conegliano, which in Bulgaria crushed Maritza Plovdiv with a clean 3-0 (25-23; 25-17; 25-18) and confirmed its undefeated start to the season with ten victories between league and cup.
Thanks to these successes, Conegliano and Vero Volley Milano are confirmed at the top of their respective Champions League rounds. As for the meneghine, however, Vafibank Istanbul could join Egonu and her teammates on six points in the event of a success against Porto.
