Jannik Sinner sweeps Baez and sends it all back to doubles
Jannik Sinner victorious
The Davis Cup quarterfinal between Italy and Argentina, which puts up for grabs the pass to the semifinals against Australia, capable of eliminating the United States, will be decided by doubles.
After Musetti’s loss to Cerundolo, Jannik Sinner cleared Sebastian Baez in two sets (6-2, 6-1) in the second match, evening the score with Argentina and bringing Italy to 1-1.
There was no match, with the world number one knocking out the modest opponent who didn't even try to react to the South Tyrolean's blows.
Sinner could now be paired again with Matteo Berrettini in the match that will decide the passage to the round: the alternative is represented by specialists Bolelli and Vavassori.
