Mercedes: Toto Wolff’s farewell letter to Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff wanted to say goodbye this wayì Lewis Hamilton, who arrived at the last Grand Prix of his career with the Silver Arrows: "After 12 incredible years this weekend we prepare to write the’last chapter of our story with Lewis".

" It has been an incredible journey. When we started working together in 2013, we could not have imagined what would happen. The numbers are impressive: six drivers’ world championships, eight constructors’ titles, 84 wins, 78 pole positions, 153 podiums".

"The one between Hamilton and Mercedes è the most successful pair in F1 history. We have rejoiced together in the happy moments and overcome side by side the difficult ones. Our relationship obviously goes beyond cold statistics, and we are proud to have worked together for inclusion and diversity, issues on which Hamilton è has always fought, becoming a catalyst for F1 to grow towards these issues".

"This weekend must be a worthy celebration of all that; we will honor this unprecedented history in Abu Dhabi and in the following week when we visit Kuala Lumpur, Stuttgart and finally Brixworth and Brackley. Hamilton will always be part of our family. We want to finish with a great performance, also to look forward to 2025 with more confidence. George Russell will be; the veteran in the box and Andrea Kimi Antonelli an exciting rookie talent. Our future è bright, but I would like to close the Hamilton-related chapter the right way. Thank you Lewis, for a’last time, let’s go to the track".
