Milan-Sassuolo 6-1

After Bologna’s poker over Monza, Milan overdoes it and smashes 6 goals against Sassuolo in the second match of the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia. At San Siro, in fact, the Rossoneri beat the neroverdi with a peremptory 6-1. The Diavolo scored four in eleven minutes (Chukwueze, Reijnders, Chukwueze and Leao) between 12’ and 23’ in the second half Calabria and Abraham also scored. For the Emilians, Mulattieri’s flag goal.

Milan got off to a strong start and on 12’ unlocked the game with Chukwueze, who kicked at the post, collected the rebound and scored. Five minutes later Reijnders signed the double with a right-footed shot from the distance that struck Satalino. On 21’ Chukwueze makes it 3-0 on an assist from Abraham, and two minutes later Leao drops the poker piercing Satalino with a shot at the first post.

Also joining the party in the second half were Calabria, who rebounded into the net from a Pulisic cross-shot that ended up on the post, and Abraham, who beat Satalino with an underhand touch. For the neroverdi, the flagship goal è by Mulattieri, who took advantage of a nice assist by Antiste and beat a not impeccable Torriani, who took over from Sportiello.

Thanks to this wide success, Milan advances to the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia where it will challenge the winner of the match between Roma and Sampdoria, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 9 p.m. at the Stadio Olimpico.
