Serie A 2024-2025: Monza-Atalanta, the likely lineups

On Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m., the U-Power Stadium will be the scene of the challenge between Monza and Atalanta, a match valid for the 35th day of Serie A. The hosts, led by Alessandro Nesta, come from five consecutive defeats. In the last round they lost 2-0 at home to Juventus, remaining in last place in the standings with 15 points.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, on the other hand, are going through a positive moment: in their last three matches they have collected seven points, the result of victories against AC Milan and Bologna and a draw with Lecce. The Nerazzurri arrive in Monza with the goal of consolidating their position in the upper reaches of the standings. The Bergamaschi are currently third in the standings with 65 points from 34 matches.

Nesta’s lineup is expected to take the field with a 3-5-2. Turati between the posts, with a three-man defense composed of Pedro Pereira, Caldirola and Palacios. In attack, De Ketelaere ahead of Pasalic, could flank the Retegui-Lookman pair.
