Federica Brignone at the Foro Italico: praises Jannik Sinner and updates on her recovery

Federica Brignone, who is recovering from her serious knee injury suffered at the Italian championships, was present at the Internazionali d’Italia today and also spoke about Jannik Sinner, who just today makes his return to the field after his three-month suspension for the Clostebol case.
“Sinner I admire him for everything, I would like to have his mental attitude – said the World Cup triumphant alpine skier, who spoke about her day at the Foro Italico–I have seen so many athletes, following tennis I know who they are, even foreigners.”
“We saw Berrettini play, then I met him and also met Jannik. I got to see his training and it is impressive. I had included tennis in my routine, once a week, also for variety. It’s a very complete sport, full of lateral movements and I enjoy it so much”.
Talking about her condition, the Valdostan outfielder added: “I am fine, obviously it is a bad injury and it will take time, but I am improving fast and every day I take a step to improve which gives me motivation. In ten days I will be able to rest my foot to start walking again and it will be a new challenge.”
“It’s amazing how for an injury your body unlearns certain things, but I’m working and I’ve never been pessimistic, but always very positive. I am curious to see how I will be when I get back on skis, but I will only do that when I am really well. There are many challenges to face first,” concluded the national Faith.
