Anna Kalinskaya says goodbye to Rome with a smile: the Russian tennis player, who was immediately eliminated in the opening round of the Internazionali d’Italia by US rival Peyton Stearns, posted a photo of herself on her Instagram profile with the city of Rome and the dome of St. Peter’s in the background, and the words “Ciao Italia”.

The Moscow tennis player, who received the great l’affection of Rome and was cheered by many Italian fans present at the Foro Italico, wanted to reciprocate on social media, before moving on after an unfortunate tournament. Kalinskaya has a complicated relationship with the Internazionali d’Italia, where she has never made it past the 32nd final, but the great cheer for her has made this year&#8217s flop less bitter.

The Rome tournament also definitively made official the end of her relationship don Jannik Sinner: the two had not seen each other for months but the breakup of the relationship was only confirmed last week at a press conference by the Italian number one himself, who said that at the moment “she has no relationship”.

Now Kalinskaya is focusing her attention on Roland Garros, starting at the end of May: she will be in the top 32 seed on the Paris draw.
