Antonio Faravelli, a winemaker with a passion for golf and a love for Oltrepò Pavese, attended the opening of the 4th edition of ‘Pet In Fiera’, at the Pavia Exhibition Palace.

With his award-winning wines and “Golf and Wine 1895” project, he represented the excellence of the area: a perfect mix of taste, tradition and vision.

Antonio narrated his project with infectious energy, earning yet another standing ovation. “Golf and Wine 1895” combines sport, tourism and wine into a single experience to be lived and shared. It is a true manifesto of Made in Italy, designed to promote our country in the world through two passions that make the heart beat faster: golf and good wine.

And it is not just a dream: it is a concrete plan to grow sports tourism and enhance Italian wine excellence. As Antonio says, “Golf is an opportunity for the whole territory. If golf grows, Italy grows.”

Behind every bottle of Vitea is the work of a close-knit family: Gaia and Stefano, Antonio’s children, carry the brand forward with pride and a touch of innovation. From Pinot Noir sparkling wine (in white and rosé) to Bonarda Historia, from the sumptuous Buttafuoco Ca’ del Cervo (described as “rhapsodic” by Daniel Thomases) to great classics such as Pinot Grigio Trame’s, Riesling Viteus, Barbera 1895 Grand Cru, to jewels like Sangue di Giuda Molinazzo, Moscato Declive and Chardonnay podere San Carlo-each wine tells a story.

They are a family-owned and operated winery.

All this thanks to careful and sustainable viticulture: maniacal care of the vineyard, integrated pest management, love for the land. Cantine Vitea truly believes in agriculture that is good for the planet and the palate. The result? Wines that respect the environment and raise the bar on quality…sip after sip.
