Playoff Serie B: Catanzaro-Spezia, the probable formations

Wednesday, May 21 at 8:30 p.m. at the Nicola Ceravolo Stadium in Catanzaro will stage the first leg semifinal of the Serie B play-offs between Catanzaro and Spezia. Catanzaro after beating Cesena 1-0 in the quarterfinals will face Spezia in the semifinals for the last remaining spot to move up to Serie A. In the other semifinal, Cremonese and Juve Stabia will face each other instead.
Spezia, on the other hand, did not face the quarterfinals of the Serie B play-offs, as they, along with Cremonese, finished in the top four of the standings. In the last league match, Luca D’Angelo’s team won at home 3-1 against Cosenza.
The hosts are expected to take the field with a 3-5-2. Pigliacelli is in goal, with the three-man defense in front of him consisting of: Bonini, Scognamillo and Brighenti. The two outside midfielders will be Quagliata and Cassandro. Spearheads, on the other hand, will be Iemmello and Biasci.
La Spezia should adopt the same form as Catanzaro, namely 3-5-2. Mirror formation for D’Angelo, with the two forwards most likely expected to be Esposito and Lapadula.The three midfielders, on the other hand, will be:Cassata, Nagy and Kouda.
The team will be in the midfield.
