Andy Roddick extols Jasmine Paolini

Andy Roddick, former world No. 1 and champion at the 2003 US Open, in his podcast extols the qualities of Italian tennis player Jasmine Paolini, winner at the Internazionali d’Italia.

“She never makes the wrong choice. The ball may end up off by an inch, but she always plays the right shot. It is not surprising that she is No. 4 in the world; she has done an amazing job. She is a great player, very fun to watch” said A-Rod, last U.S. world No. 1

Already in December, Roddick had complimented Paolini. “With her smile she makes you want to smile – he added -She is very nice. During the award ceremony after she won in Rome, I couldn’t understand what she was saying in Italian but I knew it was funny because she was laughing and everyone was laughing.

“She sounds like a winner. Who would have bet a year ago that she would come to Roland Garros from fourth in the rankings ahead of Iga Swiatek,” Roddick concluded.
