Alexander Zverev reveals the troubling reason for his defeat

Alexander Zverev spoke after his second-round elimination in the Hamburg ATP 500. “Considering I threw up 37 times and had a fever of 39.4 degrees all night, it actually went pretty well”.
“I think there are only two players in the world who would have taken the field today. I am one of them”, added the world number three who still sold his skin dearly, losing in the third set tie-break.
“I am really proud of that. And yet I came within two points of winning. That says a lot in my favor. My opponent realized that I was not well and started to extend the exchanges as long as possible. It was smart of him”.
