Roland Garros, Italians’ draw: Sinner smiles, Musetti with a qualifier

We are less and less away from the start of Roland Garros. Scheduled for May 25 through June 8, 2025. After the Rome Internationals, in fact, the circuit, both men’s and women’s, moves to the French capital.

A number of Italians, including Sara Errani in her last singles tournament, are still engaged in the Grand Slam qualifiers on clay. We find in the men’s: Gigante, Arnaboldi, Zeppieri in the men’s. While in the women’s only Sara Errani and Lucrezia Stefanini remain.

The draw, which was also attended by Ousmane Dembele ( Psg player), sees a draw that does not smile much on the Italians.

World number one Jannik Sinner will face Frenchman Rinderknech in the first round. In the second round he would always face a Frenchman, either Atmane or Gasquet.

For Musetti, however, there will be a qualifier. In the second round he would face Royer or Carballes Baena. Sonego draws Shelton, Cobolli with a qualifier, Darderi with Korda.

For Arnaldi, difficult first round with Auger-Aliassime. Also for Bellucci difficult to enter the second round, he will face Draper. Nardi with Marozsan and Passaro with De Jong.

Turning to the women’s side, Jasmine Paolini, who is back to being world No. 4, draws China’s Yuan. In the second round she would face Joint or Tomljanovic. Bronzetti with Alexandrova and Cocciaretto with a qualifier.
