The seventeenth stage of the Giro d’Italia 2025 provided spectacle, but above all important and great confirmations. After a very tough stage, with iconic climbs such as Passo del Tonale, Mortirolo and the final ascent to Bormio via Le Motte, the general classification began to take an increasingly defined shape. Isaac Del Toro, author of a masterful blow in the finale, won the stage and strengthened his leadership in the pink jersey.

The young Mexican of UAE Team Emirates took advantage of a hard-fought finale to surprise Carapaz and Bardet, gaining not only the partial victory, but also precious seconds in view of the overall classification. Now his lead over Richard Carapaz, second, rises to 41 seconds, while Simon Yates slips to third at 51 seconds from the top.

Behind, Derek Gee confirms his excellent moment keeping fourth place, at 1’57”, followed by Italian Damiano Caruso who, with his usual regularity, remains in the top 5 at 3’06”. Egan Bernal, always solid, is sixth at 4’43”, ahead of Giulio Pellizzari, seventh and the best Italian in the ranking, who continues to amaze with a capital performance in the mountains. Closing out the top 10 are Einer Rubio (eighth at 6’09”), Adam Yates (ninth at 7’45”) and Michael Storer (10th at 7’46”).
