Simone Vagnozzi, coach of Jannik Sinner, spoke to Sky Sports microphones about his student’s condition: “He was better today, we are happy with how he has recovered from yesterday. In the last few days there have been some aches and pains, cold and flu-like condition. Nothing so serious, he was good yesterday not to lose too much energy, today he turned up the intensity and for tomorrow we are confident”.

“Back discomfort? Yes, however, the good thing is that after yesterday’s match he is better, today he felt nothing, so we are confident” reassured the coach of the world number one.

Saturday Sinner will take on Jiri Lehecka in the third round of Roland Garros: “It will be a more complicated match, Lehecka we know: he shoots hard, serves well, maybe he doesn&#8217t move very well, so to get him in trouble Jannik will have to try to hold the game and not give him so much pace. I am sure he will raise the level of intensity tomorrow, there is a need because otherwise it gets bad”.

“Definitely getting some closure on the whole thing was important, he took a weight off his shoulders. Now he can enjoy his life as a tennis player 100 percent” Vagnozzi commented on the Clostebol case.
