Brescia coach Peppe Poeta bitterly commented on the defeat to Bologna in Game 1 of the A final series: “We played a super game, too bad super is not enough, you need to be perfect to win here”.

“We lost because of details, because of the rebounds we got in the second half and some lost balls. We could have protected the area better, but Virtus has so much physicality. I want to compliment my team yet again because after Ndour’s injury we could have melted down and instead we kept fighting and had the ball to win the game”.

“Definitely his loss was important, he is our defensive leader, we don&#8217t have good feelings about his return in this series. He had an adductor problem, he will have an MRI tomorrow. Toko is an unreal player, you can only limit him, his low post didn’t even hurt us badly, he punished us more with short rolls and more. Ivanovic and Amedeo played well, then we know they put so much pressure on ball carriers.”
