After dominating the Champions League final, PSG responded to those who expected a letdown in the first match of the 2025 Club World Cup by thrashing Atletico Madrid a peremptory 4-0. The reigning European champions can already wrap up qualification talks on Thursday night and Friday, but they will have to contend with an opponent not to be underestimated, Botafogo.

Luis Enrique is ready to make room for the best possible lineup, with Donnarumma in goal, Hakimi and Nuno Mendes on the flanks, Marquinhos and Pacho in the center of defense, Neves, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz in midfield and Doué, Gonçalo Ramos and Kvaratskhelia in attack. Still out of action is Ousmane Dembelé, due to a thigh problem.

On the other hand, the Fogão can, likewise, aspire to reach 6 points in the standings with a success: coached by Renato Paiva, the Rio de Janeiro team comes from a 2-1 success against the Seattle Sounders, signed by Jair and Igor Jesus. Both will be, barring last-minute course changes, in the starting eleven that will take the field at 3 a.m. Italian time at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Probable lineups

PSG (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doué, Ramos, Kvaratskhelia. All. Luis Enrique.

BOTAFOGO (4-3-3): John Victor; Vitinho, Jair, Barboza, Alex Telles; Gregore, Marlon Freitas, Artur; Igor Jesus, Savarino, Correa. All. Renato Paiva.
