Women’s European Championships, Italy also beats Lithuania and closes the round with full points

Italy women’s team drops the hat trick against Lithuania. At the PalaDozza in Bologna, Andrea Capobianco’s Azzurri won 65-51 against the Baltics and closed with a full score, three wins out of three, the qualifying round B for the quarterfinals of the European Championships.
Tuesday Cecilia Zandalasini (who also put on a show today with 22 points and 9 rebounds) and her teammates will face in Athens, where so will play the entire final round, Turkey, which today eliminated Greece by winning 83-72.
The Italian women’s national team returns to play a continental quarterfinal after eight years: in 2017 in Prague, Belgium won with the Azzurri, also then coached by Capobianco, 79-66.
