Giro d'Italia Women, teams to start will be 22: list made official

In a note published on Monday, June 23, the organizers of the Giro d’Italia Women announced that there will be 22 teams at the start of the Women&#8217s Corsa Rosa: of these, 15 are part of the UCI Women’s World Teams circuit, 2 of the UCI Women’s Pro Teams category and another 5 of the UCI Women’s Continental Teams level.

The associations in the World Teams category are AG Insurance-Soudal Team, Canyon/Sram Zondacrypto Zondacrypto, Ceratizit Pro Cycling Team, FDJ-Suez, Fenix-Deceuninck, Human Powered Health, Lidl-Trek, LIV-AlUla-Jayco, Movistar Team, Roland, Team Picnic PostNL, Team SD Worx-Protime, Team Visma-Lease a Bike, UAE Team ADQ, and Uno-X Mobility.

EF Education-Oatly and Laboral Kutxa-Fundacion Euskadi, on the other hand, represent the Pro Teams circuit, while the Continental Teams category will see the participation of Aromitalia 3T Vaiano, BePink-Imatra-Bongioanni, Isolmant-Premac-Vittoria, Team MendelSpeck E-Work and Top Girls Fassa Bortolo.

The Giro d’Italia Women will start on July 6 with a 14.2-kilometer time trial on the streets of Bergamo, and will end after eight stages on July 13 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, the finish line of the last stage. The winner of the 2024 edition of the Corsa Rosa is Elisa Longo Borghini, capable of wearing the symbol of supremacy from the conclusion of the first stage to the end.
