It certainly has not been an exciting start to the season for Lewis Hamilton with Ferrari. Beyond a win in the Sprint in China and a third-place finish in the one in Miami, the British driver has struggled to find the right feeling with the SF-25 and after ten GPs of the season has still not managed to get on the podium with the Rossa.

“You don’t just have to change teams to unlearn how to drive – Toto Wolff told Bloomberg’s Hot Pursuit podcast -We all need an adaptation period. Lewis is driving a different car and working with a new team of engineers, not to mention that it is an entirely Italian team. All this takes time”.

So the Mercedes team principal gave Ferrari fans hope: “Usually, at the beginning of the season, Lewis has to find his rhythm, while in the second half he has always done very well. So I would not exclude him from the protagonists”.

“We promised each other to continue to be friends. We challenge each other on the track, but outside the tracks, we spend time together. I don&#8217t want to lose a friendship that has lasted for so many years” Wolff concluded.
