Francesco Pio Esposito closes the doors of'Inter to Rasmus Hojlund

Inter soccer market: the FIFA Club World Cup pushes Rasmus Hojlund away from landing in the Nerazzurri. The meneghina management is reasoning about possible reinforcements to give Cristian Chivu, but is realizing that at least for the moment it may not have the priority of putting a heavyweight striker in its sights. Merit of the’operation on Ange-Yoan Bonny, but especially of the’explosion of Francesco Pio Esposito.
The’excellent performance on the field of the’former Spezia in the tournament currently underway in the United States, in fact, could spark a full-blown change of strategy by Inter. Esposito could have a prominent place in Chivu’s future hierarchies, which is why the Hojlund’s operation may blow up. The striker currently owned by Manchester United would still arrive on an onerous loan, but that money could now be shifted to other operations.
L’Inter could therefore put reinforcements for the defense among its priorities, especially considering that many pillars of the department are starting to age significantly, starting with Acerbi, Darmian, and De Vrij. The discovery of an important internal resource for the attack, therefore, could give Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio a way to focus their energies precisely on a new defender.
There is then nothing to stop them from returning to the attack, but with less haste. The idea is to bet big on Esposito, and then evaluate later whether to intervene by giving Chivu some golden opportunity. A strategy already adopted by Inter in the recent past, as shown by the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Joaquin Correa that arrived without any particular outlay by the club.
