Julio Velasco’s Italy doesn&#8217t stop anymore: the Azzurre of Italvolley beat the Netherlands with a clear 3-0 win in the Nations League and equaled the record of 26 consecutive victories, achieved by Barbolini&#8217s Italy in 2008. Italy, undefeated now for more than a year (last knockout in June 2024 against Brazil), imposed itself on the Dutch in Apeldoorn with the partials of 25-23, 28-26, 25-18, shining in the decisive moments of the match.

Antropova was the drag with 25 points, top scorer of the match.

The Olympic champions will face either Germany or the United States in the quarterfinals.

Anna Danesi keeps her concentration high ahead of the upcoming matches: “We have to continue like this, even if today we brought home certainly not the best match of the year. Now we look to the Finals where we will face the strongest, who will certainly want to try to beat us and put us in trouble”.

“There is work to do with our heads down to keep getting results, we close this intercontinental phase with a positive balance not only from the point of view of results. In this third week we played well, apart from tonight’s match. There is to be satisfied but at the same time ready to do even more ahead of the Finals.”
