Italy, undefeated now for more than a year (last knockout in June 2024 against Brazil), imposed itself on the Dutch in Apeldoorn with the partials of 25-23, 28-26, 25-18, shining in the decisive moments of the match.

Antropova was the drag with 25 points, top scorer of the match.

The Olympic champions will face either Germany or the United States in the quarterfinals.

Anna Danesi keeps her concentration high ahead of the upcoming matches: “We have to continue like this, even if today we brought home certainly not the best match of the year.
