Edin Dzeko ready to pick up where he left off

During the presentation evening of the new Fiorentina at the Viola Park in Bagno a Ripoli, a warm welcome was reserved for one of the lily club&#8217s new faces, striker Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian, after two years at Fenerbahce, is ready to reacquaint himself with the Italian league, where he has already starred with the Roma shirt from 2015 to 2021 and with the Inter shirt in the following two seasons.

“Seeing so many fans here is beautiful – said Dzeko, speaking in front of the purple supporters who arrived at Fiorentina’s training center.”

The first hours here were good, I met guys and staff members. Coming back to Italy makes me happy, Fiorentina is a great club that represents a beautiful city”.

Ethusiastic also about his new teammates, above all Robin Gosens: the two were teammates at Inter, between January 2022 and June 2023. “I found him very well again – said the German talking about Dzeko -When I realized he could come here I wrote to him telling him not to think too much about it and to bring his winning mentality here. It’s good to find a great footballer but also a friend”.

One of the tactical issues will be the coexistence, in attack, with Moise Kean. The latter, however, doesn&#8217t seem worried: “I am highly motivated for the new season– said the former Juve man, ready for his second season in a purple jersey -. Fiorentina has always helped me, now it&#8217s time to come back charged up and help the team in my turn”.
