Marko Arnautovic, Inter forgotten: yes to Red Star one step away

Inter Milan soccer market: Marko Arnautovic is preparing to finally put his second adventure in the Nerazzurri and in Serie A behind him. The Austrian national player, a comprimario in the José Mourinho-tagged Triplete season, had joined Simone Inzaghi’s then team in 2023 after an excellent two-year spell at Bologna. Now, however, after a bad season and characterized by numerous criticisms from fans, he is about to say yes to the Serbian league. He will in fact be the new striker for Red Star.

The press in Serbia is talking about it. According to the ‘Blic’ portal, in fact, there would already be an agreement between Arnautovic and Red Star that could materialize in a matter of days if not hours. There are, in fact, no particular problems with the price tag, since the striker has already been released by Inter. With an agreement on his compensation, the signing will therefore come quickly.

Author of only 4 league goals in the last season (plus two in the Coppa Italia and one in the Champions League), Arnautovic has spent the last few days training independently. But not in solitude, since with him was also Hakan Calhanoglu, his partner in recent seasons at Inter and in turn at the center of a soccer market intrigue that is conditioning the Nerazzurri’summer.

His possible landing at Red Star had after all been in the’air even for months, as Arnautovic had spoken and praised the Belgrade-based already on the sidelines of a challenge of his Austria to Serbia’s national team. “My goal now is Inter Milan, but I have great respect for Red Star. I wish them all the best, maybe one day we will meet” he had said.
