PSG undecided: Gigio Donnarumma’s future is a mystery

If PSG dominated last season, going on to win the Champions League, much credit must be given to Gigio Donnarumma, author of a superb year in the Parisian shirt. Yet, his future, at the moment, is a mystery.
The national team goalkeeper’s contract expires in June 2026. For months there has been talk of renewal with PSG, a renewal that, however, has not yet arrived. Gigio Donnarumma has, several times, reiterated that he is comfortable in Paris but it has not helped to convince the club to take the decisive step.
L’Equipe has revealed that PSG is reportedly interested in Lucas Chevalier, a 23-year-old extreme defender from Lille. In short, the Parisian club would also have found the Blue’s replacement, in case the roads should part at close quarters.
The Parisian club would also find a replacement for the Blue’s goalkeeper.
In order not to lose him at zero, as happened with Kylian Mbappé, PSG should look for a solution for Gigio Donnarumma already in this market session. Several clubs could come forward for the Italy goalkeeper. Manchester City has also sought him in the past and look out for Real Madrid itself. Gigio Donnarumma, paradoxically, could leave Paris at the end of his best season with the PSG shirt. News is expected soon.
