Ducati rider doesn’t let his guard down with Marc Marquez
Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia, in words reported by Motorsport.com, spoke after the first day of free practice at Thailand’s Buriram circuit, closed in second place by the Ducatista
The Italian centaur focused on Marc Marquez, who was also positive at this start of the weekend: “I think Marc right now has a similar pace to ours. It is difficult to make predictions now though, because we have all worked with different tires. Zarco, for example, also did well both in terms of pace and on the dry lap. The most important thing is that I think we can be competitive, given also the jump we made between FP1 and FP2. But Marc’s is always a name that has to be put in the middle of the battle.”
Bagnaia then had his say about his feelings on the track, “I’m very happy honestly. This morning I was a little worried, because when I started my feeling was very similar to Japan. We had to reconsider a few small things, but we worked well because when we started FP2 the feeling was great. The pace was good and we were also fast on the time attack, with the track conditions being a bit peculiar, probably because of the humidity, so I’m very happy with how it went today.”
