Donnarumma-PSG, the rags are flying: the blue goalkeeper’s outburst causes discussion

A short distance from the words of Luis Enrique, who in fact took responsibility for the decision to give up Gianluigi Donnarumma, it was the blue goalkeeper himself to vent through social media, expressing all his bitterness for the’epilogue of the adventure at PSG, which lasted four years and ended as champion of Europe and vice-champion of the world for club.
An outburst that, inevitably, causes debate and divides fans and insiders between those who consider PSG’s decision to rely on another goalkeeper legitimate and those, on the other hand, who argue that the Champions League holder club made a hasty decision, the child of a tear with the player’s entourage, rather than purely on field aspects.
“Special Paris fans – debuted the’1999-born extreme defender -, from the first day I arrived I gave it my all, on and off the field, to earn my place and proudly defend the Paris Saint-Germain goal. Unfortunately, someone has decided that I can no longer be part of this group and contribute to the team”s successes.
“It“s a decision that leaves me disappointed and bitter– Donnarumma closed -I hope to still have the opportunity to look the fans at the Parc des Princes in the eye and say goodbye as you deserve. If that does not happen, I want you to know that your support and affection have meant the world to me and I will never forget them”.
“I will always carry in my heart the memory of the emotions I experienced, the magical nights and you, who made me feel at home. To my comrades, my second family, thank you for every battle, every smile and every moment shared. You will always be my brothers. Playing for this club and experiencing this city has been an immense honor for me. Thank you, Paris” then concluded the goalkeeper, with a wistful note.
Now ‘Gigio’ is ready for the next chapter in his career, after his six seasons at AC Milan and four at PSG: waiting for him, with open arms, is Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, which, according to reports from ‘L’Equipe’ is in advanced negotiations both with the Parisian club, to agree on the cost of the transfer, and with Donnarumma’s entourage, to establish the terms of the next contract.
