Pecco Bagnaia case: Casey Stoner to leg it against Ducati

Casey Stoner speaks out harshly against Ducati in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, in which he defends Pecco Bagnaia to the hilt. The Piedmontese rider is in crisis after the’arrival of Marc Marquez, who is monopolizing the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, and in the last weekend in Austria he went on a collision course with his own team, demanding explanations.
“Pecco is in a complicated position, even thinking about what will happen in two years. Ducati always does this: if the rider has a bad moment, they throw him out. And I don’t think that’s the right thing to do”, thundered Stoner.
“Pecco gave Ducati two championships. In 2024 he fought to the last with Martin. He worked exclusively with this team for many seasons. If they were willing to get rid of him, it would be clear what kind of people they are. In my opinion it would not be fair. He deserves respect, you have to give people the opportunity to recover”.
Stoner has a poisoned tooth with the Borgo Panigale factory: “In 2009 I was forced to skip some races, and they looked for a replacement without warning me. It was not fair to me”.
