There is a new name for the long man for which Virtus Bologna has been sounding out the market for some time now. According to reports from Repubblica, the Bologna club is targeting Malian Aliou Diarra, class of 2001.
A 2.08 center with strong athletic and defensive skills, Diarra has just been included in FIBA Afrobasket’s best quintet, traveling at an average of 15 points and 9.7 rebounds and also winning the best defender award.
Mali, of which the giant new Canturan Oumar Ballo, won the silver medal by losing heavily in the final (43-71) to hosts Angola.
