Jannik Sinner, Simone Vagnozzi won’t stand for it: "No one sees the nights he cried"

Simone Vagnozzi, coach of Jannik Sinner, returned to his pupil’s heavy defeat in the Us Open final against Carlos Alcaraz, who, thanks to his success in New York, reclaimed the top spot in the ATP rankings, snatching it right away from the Blue.
“Jannik does not play only against the opponent on the other side of the net – said the coach of the current world number two, in the words reported by Rai News – He plays against the expectations of an entire country”.
“Everyone sees the defeat, but they don’t see the nights when he cried, the days when he couldn”t even lift his arm due to fatigue,” added Vagnozzi, who has been working alongside the South Tyrolean for more than 3 1/2 years now.
Jannik Sinner will return to the court at the Beijing ATP 500, scheduled for Sept. 25 to Oct. 1. The Blue defends the 330 points from the final he won last year, when he surrendered, for a change, to Carlos Alcaraz.
