Lorenzo Musetti challenges Felix Auger-Aliassime for Shanghai and for Turin.

Lorenzo Musetti spoke after his success against Luciano Darderi that gave him access to the round of 16 in the Shanghai Masters 1000: “Playing against a friend is always difficult. Luciano surprised me, because I played well, but he was also very very aggressive with his serve and forehand”.

“In the evening the conditions are slower and it is not easy to make winners. I felt I had to raise the bar and I did it, that&#8217s the thing I am most proud of”.

“This year I am managing to play Shanghai better, although it has never been this wet and the balls get heavy. I can&#8217t complain though, I am enjoying the conditions and I hope to play even better next match”, he continued.

Musetti will now face off against Felix Auger-Aliassime: “I don&#8220t want to put pressure on myself, but it will be an important match toward the goal of qualifying in Turin. He is a player to watch in the Race and he is having a great season, although for now De Minaur and I are ahead”.
