Jannik Sinner could follow Carlos Alcaraz’s example and take part in the “Million Dollar 1 Point Slam,” the event-exhibition to be held in the week before the Australian Open. It is a tournament with an unusual and spectacular format: each match is decided by a single point, and whoever wins it goes directly to the next round.

The initiative, which is already causing a lot of discussion in the tennis world, features a 32-participant draw open to both great champions and ordinary fans. Making it even more interesting is the prize money: one million Australian dollars, about 600,000 euros.

According to what was revealed by Craig Tiley, director of the Australian Open, during the The Tennis podcast, Sinner also reportedly expressed interest: “We received a call from Jannik Sinner, but also from Venus Williams and other professionals who are enthusiastic about joining the tournament.”

In the coming weeks, the official scoreboard and the list of players of this unique competition, which promises to combine spectacle, adrenaline and twists and turns in one decisive point, will be defined.
