Eziolino Capuano returns to coaching and does so in Serie C, in Campania: as of today, in fact, the 1965-born technician is the coach of Giugliano, a club currently sixteenth, after ten days, in the Girone C of the third series. Capuano thus returns to the bench after a nine-month stop: his last experience, in Trapani, had in fact been interrupted last January.

“Giugliano Calcio 1928 announces that it has appointed Ezio Capuano as coach of the first team – reads the club’s note, published late Friday afternoon -. The coach binds himself to the club with an agreement on a one-year basis with an option to renew and will be assisted by assistant coach Antonio Marino”.

Originally from Pescopagano (Potenza) although born in Salerno, Capuano has been coaching since he was 20 years old, having given up his competitive career due to a serious injury. Over the years, he has coached Ebolitana, Poseidon, Pro Salerno, Altamura, Cavese, Trapani, Puteolana, Taranto, Nocerina, Sora, Juve Stabia, Paganese, Potenza, Messina, Eupen (Belgium), Fondi, Casertana, Arezzo, Modena, Sambenedettese, Rieti, Avellino, Potenza and Foggia.

These are the most recent matches he has coached.

In his career he won the National Amateur Championship twice: the first time in 1995-1996, winning the Girone H at the helm of Altamura, the second the following year, winning the Girone G with Cavese. Despite having coached at most in Serie C, Capuano has been able to build an important following throughout Italy, thanks to his temperament and sometimes over-the-top statements. In Giugliano, the goal is to ensure the Gialloblù club what would be its fourth consecutive salvation.
