New adventure for Riccardo Improta, offensive midfielder also seen in Serie A with the shirts of Chievo Verona and Benevento: the 1993-born footballer, who was released last July 1, has in fact accepted the proposal of Giugliano, a club of the Girone C of Serie C that has been led on the bench by Eziolino Capuano since a few days.

As made known by the yellow-blue club, Improta is already at the disposal of the Lucania coach and could make his debut as early as Sunday, Nov. 2, in the match of the twelfth day scheduled against Siracusa at the De Cristofaro in Giugliano in Campania. Improta thus returns to the field a few months after his last experience, also in the C division, with the Latina jersey.

Born in Pozzuoli on December 19, 1993, Riccardo Improta grew up at youth sector level with the jerseys of Atletico Puteolana, Virtus Lanciano and Genoa: with the Grifone, however, he never played in the first team, beginning a long sequence of loans that led him to wear the uniforms of Juve Stabia, Chievo, Padova, Bologna, Cesena, Salernitana and Bari.

In 2018, the move outright to Benevento, with which he played the 2020-2021 season in Serie A, in addition to four years in B and one in C. In 2024-2025 he then moved to Latina, where he played 29 games, going once to score. Now came the return to Campania: the goal is to contribute to the ascent of the club, currently second-last in the standings.
