Jannik Sinner: Toni Nadal’s words spark fans

In Rafael Nadal’s incredible palmarès, the ATP Finals title is missing but his uncle Toni has an explanation: “Well, first of all, because they never put the Finals on clay…Beyond batting, Rafa always played well on all surfaces however he would arrive at the end of the season almost always very physically tested” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
The tournament in Turin began on November 9 and will end on the 16th: “Of course, the big favorites are always Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. In the last few tournaments Jannik has played at a very high level and I think in Turin he can start a thread ahead of Carlos, who honestly looks a little bit’less comfortable on this surface. It will definitely be a great challenge, not to be missed”.
Toni Nadal then talked about the comparison between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner: “I think Nole is a little bit’ more complete. Sinner has more speed in his shots, Nole a little bit’ more touch. They have in common that they always impose a high tempo and have exceptional ball control, with very high level moves. Jannik plays with a very definite pattern: he imposes from the very beginning a very fast pace, difficult for anyone to handle”.
As easily expected, Toni Nadal’s words sparked great debate on social media: many fans of Jannik Sinner are convinced that their favorite is stronger than the Serb.
