Between negative results and internal controversies, Fiorentina’s season risks being derailed even though it has not yet reached its halfway point: also for this reason, the violet club is planning a real revolution capable of enhancing the two important changes in the technical area, namely the arrival of Paolo Vanoli on the bench and the transition to the role of sporting director of Roberto Goretti, already technical director before the resignation of Daniele Pradè. The January market will be the front on which the club will have to act, strengthening a roster that so far has not performed as hoped, despite high expectations this summer.

In particular, there are two new names, one for the attack and the other for the defense, on the notebook of the lily-headed management: according to a report by TMW, Nice has offered Fiorentina Jeremie Boga, who in his third season at the French Riviera club is finding less and less space and would have opened up to the idea of a return to Italy, where he has already worn the shirts of Sassuolo and Atalanta. As for the defense, however, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports interest in Rodrigo Becao, a Brazilian center-back who has ended up on the fringes of the technical project. Even for him, who played in Udinese’Udinese, it would be a return to Serie A.

Before we get to January, however, Fiorentina is expected to play five games, all of great importance, starting with the Conference League match against Dynamo Kyiv scheduled at the Franchi on Thursday at 6:45 pm. The schedule then includes a direct clash in the lower part of the standings against Hellas Verona, also at home at 3 p.m. on Sunday 14, the sixth and final match of the Conference League Phase, away against Lausanne on Thursday 18 at 9 p.m., and finally the league games on Sunday 21, at the Franchi against Udinese at 6 p.m., and on Saturday 27 at the Tardini against Parma, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m.

The Fiorentina team is expected to play in the first half of the season.

Florentin has won four official matches this season, all in the Conference League: the Viola beat Polissya Zhytomyr twice in the preliminaries, winning 3-0 in the first leg away and 3-2, on a comeback, in the return leg in front of their home crowd, and then prevailed in the League Phase 2-0 against Sigma Olomouc at home and 3-0 against Rapid in Vienna. The latter, in fact, was the last victory recorded by the Viola and came last Oct. 23: in the following nine matches, between Italy and Europe, came three draws and as many as six defeats, the last three in a row, which exacerbated a crisis already evident in the first weeks.
