Inter market, in the crosshairs is also Roma’s champion

Inter is constantly on the hunt for market opportunities and Beppe Marotta is adept at signing expiring players. Cristian Chivu’s lineup in the summer could embellish with another great champion: Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is expiring with Roma. Already last summer the Nerazzurri had sounded out for him, then the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini on the bench convinced him to stay in Trigoria for another season. Although Pellegrini is regaining confidence with the Giallorossi’s new helmsman, the future still seems to be far from the capital and Inter is monitoring closely.
Cristian Chivu could lose Davide Frattesi, who has long been in the sights of Juventus, which has recently returned to the charge at Luciano Spalletti’s input. The Juventus coach has shown that he can exploit very well the qualities of the Inter midfielder who, under Spalletti’s guidance, has scored an impressive 7 goals in the national team. The Old Lady in recent days sounded out the ground again for Frattesi but Inter asked for Khéphren Thuram’s card in exchange and Juventus blocked everything. Should Davide Frattesi find a new location, Inter would pounce precisely on Lorenzo Pellegrini.
This season, the Giallorossi star is often employed by Gian Piero Gasperini as a left back or as a support to Evan Ferguson and has so far collected 15 appearances topped by 3 goals and 1 assist among all competitions. Complicating the renewal with Roma is also the economic aspect: Lorenzo pellegrini currently earns 4.5 million euros and is among the highest paid players in the Giallorossi squad. For some time the Capitoline leadership has been working to lower the cost of the team and such figures are incompatible with the new corporate stakes. Also at the expense of cost cuts could be Paulo Dybala.
The Argentine star player earns 12 million euros each year and his contract expires in June. The extremely high salary coupled with the Joya’s constant injuries make his extension very complicated. Boca Juniors has publicly expressed an’interest in signing him and Juan Román Riquelme could move personally.
With Paulo Dybala’s very likely farewell, Gian Piero Gasperini could give further space to Matias Soulé, who is performing well this season. The talented Argentine now seems ready for a starting role with Roma and is pawing to establish himself as a staple of the team.
