“I am very happy to become part of this organization – said the new acquisition of the white-blues -. I look forward to getting to know the team and being able to make myself available to the club to help it achieve its goals”.

“I thank the club for allowing us to add a new player– the words of coach Nicola Brienza -. Erick’s career speaks for him: he has played at the highest level in Europe and last year he was fundamental for Napoli. We know that we are going to add a very experienced player, who, with his technical and human leadership, will be able to be a beacon for the whole team on the parquet”.

After a collegiate career spent at Virginia Tech, he was selected in the 2013 NBA Draft with the 46th pick by the Utah Jazz. His professional debut, however, is in Siena, where he has a season in double figures in scoring average both in the league and in the Euroleague. He is thus recalled by the Denver Nuggets, who had meanwhile acquired his rights. He spent the next two years in the United States, collecting 52 official NBA appearances. He then returned to Europe, to play three seasons in Euroleague lineups between Olympiakos, Valencia (with which he won a Spanish Supercup as MVP) and Fenerbahçe. In the following season he split his time between China and Spain, before impressing again in Turkey in the Bahçeşehir jersey with
a 21.3-point average year in the EuroCup. In the 2021-22 season he returned first to China to the Zhejiang Golden Bulls and then to Italy to Treviso. The following year he played in Israel and Montenegro, where he won the championship as a star player at Budućnost. He then moved to Russia with Unics Kazan, maintaining an average of 13.2 points. In the 2024-25 season he was again in the LBA with Napoli, traveling at 15.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Before signing with Cantù, he played in Lebanon with Sagesse SC.
