From Jannik Sinner to Alessandro Del Piero: the holiday schedule with Sky Sports

On Sky Sport, the show is always guaranteed: the House of Sports gets beautiful for the Christmas holidays in which it will offer an even richer and more exciting sequence of events. It will be like being at the movies on Sky and NOW, thanks to the great storytelling carefully fine-tuned by the editorial team and dedicated to fans of all sports: coming up 350 hours of great live events, the best sports moments of 2025 to relive with Cesare Cremonini – who dedicates his “St. Luke” – – and as many as 10 new original productions made specifically for the Christmas period.

Ten jewels that join the long succession of documentaries signed and curated by Sky Sport: it starts on December 19 with “Federico Buffa Talks – Stories of Christmas” while on the 26th it will be the turn of the meeting with Sofia Goggia. Christmas Eve in the company of the grand finale of “Tennis Heroes” with the Panatta-Bertolucci pair, while on Dec. 25 it will be Paolo Di Canio who will tell the behind-the-scenes story of one of the top matches of the world’s most spectacular league, the Premier League, in his “Di Canio Premier Special – Chelsea vs Arsenal – Inside a London derby”. Boxing Day with “Sinner, the Master. ATP Finals 2025 – The Domain of Jannik”, to relive the recent edition of the Turin tournament that ended with a victory over Carlos Alcaraz. Snow, on the other hand, will be the absolute protagonist with the start of the new year thanks to “3Tre, the magic number of skiing”, which recounts the legendary classic in Madonna di Campiglio. On Epiphany a new appointment with the legend: “1996, the year of Del Piero,” to celebrate the Juventus champion 30 years after the myth was born. Giorgio Porrà also returns with a new episode of ”Man of the Sunday” dedicated to National team coach Gennaro Gattuso. And again, great basketball stars in “The Lost Dream Team” in Jure Pavlović’s film, the incredible story of the Yugoslavian national team that won the European Championship in Rome in 1991, airing as early as Dec. 12 and available on demand. On January 16, however, Stefano Borghi will bring to the screen the eighth episode of 90/10, dedicated to Ronaldo the Phenomeno.

Between live events, big show in soccer with more than 170 live matches between national and international leagues: the Serie A Enilive with the big match Juventus-Roma, on Sky on Saturday, December 20, in addition to the expected heat from Italian squares between December and January for the two rounds of Serie C Sky Wifi. Then it’s off to England for the Premier League: teams on the field between Dec. 26 and Jan. 8, with four rounds of a balanced and hard-fought league, for a total of no less than 40 live matches including Diretta Gol on Dec. 30. Plus, the spectacle guaranteed by Germany and France in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. There will be no shortage of big Cup nights: the UEFA Champions League will take the field at the end of January for the penultimate (Jan. 20-21) and final day of the League Phase (Jan. 28, with all matches played at the same time), while the UEFA Europa League will play Jan. 22 and 29 to enter the knockout phase. And tomorrow Fiorentina will take the field against Lausanne for access to the UEFA Conference League round of 16. European Cups also starring on Sky Sport beyond next season thanks to the Sky-UEFA agreement for the four-year period 2027-2031: exclusive rights to broadcast 184 of the 203 matches per season of the UEFA Champions League and all 342 matches per season of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League on all platforms.

Feminine soccer is also featured, with the Italian Super Cup final on Jan. 11 between Juventus and Roma, while on Jan. 20-22 and Jan. 27-29 the Women’s Coppa Italia gets into full swing with the quarterfinals.

Sky Home of Sports, but also Home of Basketball, especially at Christmas: for the entire holiday period there will be on the court practically every day for a total of more than 50 matches between Euroleague and Eurocup exclusively, LBA A Series and NBA appointments, including the highly anticipated Xmas Day on Christmas Day. There will be no shortage of tennis, which will close another extraordinary year with the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah from today to Dec. 21, and motors with a new feature: Sky will be the official broadcaster of Dakar 2026, kicking off on Jan. 3. And again, appointments with rugby, golf, volleyball and much more.

And with the new year, you cannot miss the traditional appointment with “Calciomercato – L’Originale”. A true cultural phenomenon that has been combining news and entertainment with an unmistakable touch for over 20 years. Alessandro Bonan, Gianluca Di Marzio and Fayna are ready to tell around Italy all the negotiations of the winter market. And a new song also arrives: “I miss the game – The individualist”.
